You want a man to be a man and make you feel like a woman. You want the passion to be there and also have it mean something.
Exactly.
I love a man who can understand a good woman. Good women are like peaches. On the inside, peaches have a hard seed, because life put one there. It can’t be avoided, so you eat around it. Peaches bruise easily, but a good man knows a good fruit when he sees one. He won’t throw it away. He’ll handle it with care. He knows that peaches are ripe and juicy, delicious and pretty. Each one colored and flavored in its own unique way, each one worthy of every delicious bite.
Take good care of your peaches.
It’s so hard letting someone treat you like a peach.
You wait for kindness to enter in, and when it does, you hold it with delicate fingers and held breath, as if one wrong move will chase it away. You want to let him treat you gently. You want to allow all the good things he brings to cover you like a warm, comfy blanket. But fear and hurt make you prickly when you least wish to be. You see your actions and hear your words from outside yourself, shuddering at them, knowing you’re wrong, and knowing you have to trust that you won’t be deemed rotten and thrown away too soon.
It’s one of life’s greatest challenges, being a peach. Just being in the moment, being sweet, letting go, and trusting.
Be good to your peach self.
